Prior to its debut in France on 19 October 2015 on TF1's TFOU block, the series was first shown in South Korea on 1 September 2015 on EBS1. The show moves better and faster after the initial episode, and the final episodes are the type that you don't mind binge watching for 2 hours. ![]() If you need a trigger warning, this is it. It is graphic and emotional and some may need to visit their therapist after watching. I gave this 9 stars only because the first episode was extremely hard to watch. It is a complex story at times, a bit funny at others, but I give it a lot of credit for taking the bad parts of teenage life in their full misery and making it into a story that is interesting and captivating. ![]() ![]() But it does show redemption, friendship, love, and the power of not giving in to the darkness. You would think with all of this that it is not worth watching. The topics of revenge, bullying, domestic abuse, suicide, rape, transphobia, molestation, murder, and self harm are all shown in this series. Not just guns blazing violence but the type of dark violence that may and should make you a bit squeamish. To give fair warning to people, if you watch it you will see violence. But it is however a powerful and emotional watch. It is NOT a cute or funny anime in any way, as one would assume from the title. I found this one listed on Prime Video and decided to give it a watch. I am somewhat of a novice when it comes to anime, as I only have watched around 20 or so.
